Error message 25009
1. Introduction
Error
message 25009 can appear in In-Port, Tilt-Port, and HPG-Port. It is commonly related to the field PC not being able to
find the removable storage device and can be caused by a number of reasons.
2. Possible reasons for this message occurring
The most common reason for this error message is not allowing the removable storage device to initialise before opening the In-Port software.
Please
ensure that when turning on the field PC enough time is allowed for the removable storage card to initialise. This can take up to approximately 1 minute
following the display of the start screen which shows the date and time.
If after allowing the field PC to fully
initialise the error message still continues to appear please inspect
the removable storage card compartment to ensure the card is located within the slot
correctly, the storage card can become loose if the field PC is dropped.
This can be achieved in a number of ways depending on the field PC.
Archer 2
The Micro SD card is located under the battery. Power the device off correctly before removing the battery. Unscrew the 4 screws holding the battery plate on. Remove the battery and locate the micro SD card. Remove this and clean it before re-inserting. Ensure that it is in the correct orientation and fully inserted. Replace the battery and battery plate. Power on the Filed PC and wait for the removable storage card to initialise. Now enter File Explorer to check that the card is visible.
Archer
The SD card is located at the top of the field PC under the rubber cover. Remove the stylus and unscrew
the top screws until you can slide off the rubber cover. The screws are
designed to stay attached to the rubber cover. The SD card slot will now be visible. To
remove the card press down firmly and release. The card will retract
from the slot by approximately 7mm. You can now pull the card out of the
SD slot and clean it. Install the card by inserting it into the SD card slot, and pressing
down firmly. When you release, the card should only retract by
approximately 2-3mm. If the card retracts further please repeat the
process. Replace the rubber cover. Power on the Filed PC and wait for the removable storage card to initialise. Now enter File Explorer to check that the card is visible.
Recon
The CF card is located at the top of the field PC under the rubber cover. Unscrew
the top screws until you can slide off the rubber cover. The screws are
designed to stay attached to the rubber cover. The CF card slot will now be visible. To
remove the card pull it firmly. You can now pull the card out of the CF slot and clean it. Install the card by inserting it into the CF card slot firmly. Replace the rubber cover. Power on the Filed PC and wait for the removable storage card to initialise. Now enter File Explorer to check that the card is visible.
Dell X51
The SD card is located on the top of the field PC and should be visible. To
remove the card press down firmly and release. The card will retract
from the slot by approximately 7mm. You can now pull the card out of the
SD slot and clean it. Install the card by inserting it into the SD card slot, and pressing
down firmly. Power on the Filed PC and wait for the removable storage card to initialise. Now enter File Explorer to check that the card is visible.
