Soil Instruments have changed the way the In-Profile software is licensed. You will now be issued a unique idetifier when you purchase the software, the activation is now completed using a revised process.
When Purchasing a New License
You will receive your "unique identifier" on the dispatch note. Download and install the new software In-Profile - Software Download.
When you open the software you will be presented with the below licence screen.
Click "License" to move onto the next screen.
Please select "Request a new license". This will create a .lic file. This must be sent to support@soilinstruments.com along with your unique identifier from the dispatch note and the Sales Order Number.
The file will then be activated and a new licence key file returned. you can then use the "I have a license file" option to load your new license key file.
Please note that this licence key(.lic file) is only valid for one PC and cannot be moved. If this software needs to be installed on another machine, another key will need to be purchased. We advise taking an image of the PC that the license is installed on, this way should the hard drive in the PC fail, the image can be restored onto the new hard drive without losing the license key.
When Moving an Existing License(previous style licence) to a New PC
Soil Instruments will be able to move this license for you only once, depentant upon the licence history. Please check with Soil Instruments that we are able to move the licence before uninstalling the existing licenced software.
Once we confirm we can move the licence, follow the above steps to activate this on 1 new PC.
