1. Introduction

Sometimes it may be necessary to disconnect or reconnect the Bluetooth pairing between an Inclinometer or HPG system and the Field PC.

If you cannot enter In-Port or HPG-Port and the blue 'Comms Ready' light does not come on, the Bluetooth connection would be the first thing to troubleshoot.

 2. Disconnecting a Bluetooth Pairing

To disconnect a Bluetooth pairing, follow the procedure below:

Tap 'Start', then 'Settings', then 'Connections', then 'Bluetooth'

On the 'COM Ports' page, press and hold the Inclinometer serial number you want to disconnect

When the menu appears, select 'Delete'

On the 'Devices' page, press and hold the Inclinometer serial number you want to disconnect

When the menu appears, select 'Delete'

The Inclinometer Bluetooth pairing has now been disconnected

The Field PC will now search for the Inclinometer, once it has found it, select the Inclinometer and tap 'Next'

The Field PC will now ask if you wish to connect to the device, tap 'Yes'

The Field PC will once again ask for a passcode, this time, enter '0' into the box and tap 'Next'

Now press 'Finish'

On the 'COM Ports' page, tap 'New Outgoing Port'

Select the Inclinometer you wish to connect to and tap 'Next'

Select 'COM8' from the drop-down list and make sure 'Secure Connection' is not crossed, tap 'Finish'
