Recon field PC will not switch on
1. Introduction
If your Recon field PC will not switch on, you can perform the following to try and resolve the issue.
2. Attempting to turn your field PC on
Firstly, ensure the battery has been charged using a supplied Recon field PC charger. A full charge will take approximately 12 hours. After this, if the field PC will not switch on perform the following.
- Rest the field PC gently on its face. The field PC’s stylus or a flat headed screwdriver will be required.
- Using the stylus, turn the arrowed latches counter-clockwise until the
arrows point towards the bottom of the battery and the I/O ports.
- With both latches pointing downwards, use your thumbs to push and slide the battery away from the unit.
- Once the battery is detached, simply reattach the battery. To do this
slide the battery down into the unit and firmly slide the battery back
into position. The field PC may beep once the battery is in position.
- Once the battery is back into position, turn the arrow latches
clockwise so they point away from the I/O ports and towards the top of
the field PC.
The battery is now reinstalled. Turn the unit over and press the power button.
